Celebrating Excellence with the Top Hospitals and Health Systems

On March 6, Premier hosted the 100 Top Hospitals^® Awards Gala, convening 100 Top Hospitals^® and 15 Top Health Systems^™ award winners from 2023 for a night of celebration and networking.

The evening was all about the winners and their achievements in the PINC AI^™ 100 Top Hospitals^® Program. More than just hospital or health system rankings, the program and its benchmarks are helping guide strategy, performance improvement, organizational goal setting and the delivery of patient-centered care for all hospitals.

The program recognizes the systems’ leadership and their commitment to continued innovation and sustainable improvements in quality care and patient safety. It’s also a recognition of caregivers and staff who work daily to achieve performance excellence.

During the gala, attendees heard from Premier’s President and CEO, Mike Alkire, and Premier’s Chief Commercial Officer, Andy Brailo, as they shared congratulatory remarks for our distinguished guests’ accomplishments and reflected on the leadership, innovation and hard work from all.

In addition, attendees were able to hear from Amy Purdy, a 3x Paralympic Medalist and best-selling author. Amy shared her incredible story of triumph and strength in the keynote session, inspiring everyone and sharing an ask of attendees to move forward with passion and resilience while working to improve U.S. healthcare.

The next morning, attendees networked over breakfast and participated in a discussion about how they are leveraging the 100 Top Hospitals® program to help alleviate some of the biggest challenges in healthcare, including margin pressures and labor challenges. It was a wonderful way to wrap up the event with more shared learnings and best practice sharing. Everyone left with something new, whether it was a new connection, a renewed enthusiasm or a new perspective.

We're truly grateful for all of the health system leaders who were able to join in the celebrations. These awards and recognitions raise the bar for national benchmarks, help patients advocate for better healthcare, and objectively identify areas of excellence and areas of improvement for our industry.
