A longtime leader in healthcare improvement, we’re developing new ways to revolutionize the industry.
With the long-term care (LTC) population expected to nearly double to 27 million by 2050, now is the time to prepare for the future. LTC pharmacies are central to assuring quality of care and quality of life for those with LTC needs, whether they live in LTC facilities, such as nursing homes, assisted living communities or at home. LTC pharmacies provide important patient care and specialized services in communities across the country, yet a federal statutory or regulatory definition of LTC pharmacy does not currently exist. Unfortunately, LTC pharmacies are often unintentionally swept up in conflicting, confusing, and irrelevant policy proposals that threaten patient access to essential medications and related pharmacy services.
Please join us to hear from Senators Tim Scott (R-SC) and Mark Warner (D-VA) about the important bill they are leading on behalf of the LTC pharmacy industry: the Long-Term Care Pharmacy Definition Act (S. 1574). LTC pharmacy representatives from South Carolina, Virginia, and around the country will also share their perspectives on the importance of LTC pharmacy services for every American who needs LTC in facilities and in the community.
WHAT: A Virtual Congressional Briefing, cohosted by Premier healthcare alliance, the Senior Care Pharmacy Coalition (SCPC), the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP), and the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) in conjunction with Senators Tim Scott (R-SC) and Mark Warner (D-VA)
