Report: Supply Chain Impacts of Russia/Ukraine Conflict

First and foremost, we are shocked and saddened by the events unfolding in Ukraine. And as the conflict in Eastern Europe continues to evolve, Premier is working with supplier partners to ensure a smooth and continuous flow of medical products and supplies.

At this time, our concerns center around two issues: (1) Oil and gas, as Russia produces 12 percent of the world’s oil and 17 percent of natural gas and (2) Cyber security threats. We will continue to monitor against these threats, particularly since a dramatic limitation in Russian oil and gas (either via sanctions that prevent importation or a voluntary cut off of supply) could compromise production or pricing for plastic goods, including trays, syringes, specimen bottles, pill containers, sharps containers and more.

To help stakeholders better understand the supply chain risks associated with the Russia/Ukraine conflict, Premier has created a comprehensive overview document, which can be downloaded here.
