Premier to Honor Healthcare Suppliers for Pioneering Technologies at Breakthroughs 26

Innovation is an essential part of transforming patient care. During its 15th annual Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition on Oct. 6, 2026, Premier will host an Innovation Celebration recognizing six leading healthcare suppliers for new products or technologies that are advancing patient care. Winners are selected by a national committee of clinicians, physicians and supply chain experts who review nominations and score each technology according to criteria. 

This year's honorees are: Cordis, Germitec, HemoSonics, Kedrion Biopharma Inc., NXC Imaging, Canon Group, Quanta Dialysis Technologies® and Roche Diagnostics. 

Breakthroughs is one of the nation’s leading healthcare conferences, attended by healthcare leaders from more than 400 hospitals and health systems and more than 600 healthcare suppliers. The event offers a unique opportunity for healthcare providers, suppliers and life sciences organizations to hear from influential speakers, attend peer-to-peer learning sessions and network. Breakthroughs 26 will take place at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, MD.

Below is a brief description highlighting the Premier contracted suppliers and the innovative new products that will be recognized at this year’s Innovation Celebration:

Cordis

Cordis SELUTION SLR™ Drug-Eluting Balloon (DEB) is the first sirolimus-based drug-eluting balloon approved in the United States for the treatment of coronary in-stent restenosis (ISR). By treating ISR without leaving behind an additional permanent implant, the device helps reduce metal burden while preserving future treatment options for patients. SELUTION SLR™ DEB combines a proprietary phospholipid blend coating with MicroReservoir technology designed to retain and deliver sirolimus to the target lesion for up to 90 days. SELUTION SLR™ DEB was evaluated in SELUTION4ISR IDE trial, a randomized clinical study comparing the device with contemporary standard-of-care treatment for coronary ISR. At 12 months, SELUTION SLR™ DEB demonstrated non-inferiority to standard-of-care treatment. 

Germitec

Germitec Chronos® is the first and only UV-C High-Level Disinfection (HLD) device to receive FDA marketing authorization via De Novo grant, establishing the industry standard for all UV-C HLD technology that follows. Chronos® powered by Yuvee® delivers a ~90-second, chemical-free disinfection cycle for compatible ultrasound probes, significantly reducing turnaround time between procedures and supporting greater patient throughput. By eliminating chemical disinfectants and consumables, Chronos® removes a major recurring cost for health systems, driving meaningful savings across departments and facilities. Chronos® is further supported by a landfill-free recycling program for aging chemical-based devices and an all-inclusive 5-year warranty, helping health systems advance sustainability goals alongside long-term operational savings. Chemical-free HLD has arrived with Chronos®.

HemoSonics

The Quantra® System with QStat® Cartridge is the first and only viscoelastic testing (VET) system with an FDA-cleared indication for peripartum obstetric procedures. By delivering rapid, actionable coagulation results at the point of care, the system equips obstetric care teams with the real-time insight needed to guide critical decisions during childbirth. This innovation represents a meaningful step forward in maternal health, helping care teams identify and respond to coagulopathy earlier in the peripartum period, when timely intervention matters most.

Kedrion Biopharma Inc.

Kedrion Biopharma received FDA approval in September 2025 for QIVIGY®, a next-generation intravenous immune globulin (IVIG) medication indicated for the treatment of adults with primary immunodeficiency. The launch marks a significant milestone for patients living with primary immunodeficiency. After more than 10 years of development, QIVIGY is the first end-to-end IVIG product fully manufactured, commercialized and distributed by Kedrion, helping address hospital-related challenges with IVIG therapy.

NXC Imaging, Canon Group

NXC Imaging, Canon Group's QTI Breast Acoustic CT™ Scanner offers high-resolution, 3D breast imaging without compression. The technology provides safe breast imaging without radiation exposure. It also delivers high-quality images without the need for a contrast agent, offering patients a comfortable path to early detection.

Quanta Dialysis Technologies

The Quanta® Dialysis System is the first and only FDA-cleared dialysis device designed to offer intermittent hemodialysis (IHD), sustained low-efficiency dialysis (SLED) and bagless continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) all in one system. The compact, all-in-one bagless design helps reduce supply costs and eliminates the added time and expense of managing multiple equipment fleets. The simple, intuitive design and on-screen instructions reduce onboarding burden for critical care and dialysis teams.

Roche Diagnostics

Roche Diagnostics' Elecsys® Phospho-Tau (181P) Plasma test is the only blood-based biomarker cleared to rule out Alzheimer's disease in primary care, expanding access to early evaluation and elevating diagnostic equity across health systems. With a single, actionable cutoff and a 97.9 percent negative predictive value, the test transforms referral pathways by enabling primary care providers to confidently exclude amyloid-negative patients, reducing unnecessary PET/CSF utilization and improving the precision of specialist referrals. By triaging symptomatic patients earlier, the test preserves neurologist resources for those with the highest need, shortens wait times and reduces reliance on invasive, high-cost procedures, delivering measurable benefits for both patients and health systems.
