Texas Health Resources Wins 2026 Premier Alliance Excellence Award 

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — October 7, 2026 — Premier, Inc., a leading technology-driven healthcare improvement company, has named Texas Health Resources as the recipient of the 2026 Premier Alliance Excellence Award. This is the second time Texas Health has received this award, having previously won in 2013, in a collaboration that spans more than 30 years.

The Premier Alliance Excellence Award is Premier’s highest recognition of a member organization and is presented annually for a steadfast commitment to healthcare transformation. Honored healthcare providers are distinguished for leveraging Premier to improve clinical quality, reduce costs, strengthen operations and enhance patient care.

Texas Health is a faith-based, nonprofit health system that serves more patients in North Texas than any other provider. Over the last 30 years, Texas Health has worked with Premier to drive improvements across the enterprise. Through Premier’s supply chain solutions, Texas Health has realized greater value and efficiency in the combined member purchasing power and has recently launched an initiative to modernize its supply chain and payment processes with Premier. On the clinical side, Texas Health integrated Premier’s analytics and benchmarking tools as well its pharmacy solutions into its performance improvement processes.

Previous Premier Alliance Excellence Award recipients include Saint Francis Health System (Tulsa, OK), Prisma Health (Greenville, SC), WakeMed Health & Hospitals (Raleigh, NC), Henry Ford Health System (Detroit, MI)and Atrium Health (Charlotte, NC).

Texas Health representatives formally accepted the award on the main stage during the opening keynote session of Breakthroughs 26, Premier’s annual conference and exhibition, held Oct. 6-8 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, MD, in front of thousands of healthcare leaders from across the nation.
