Premier Calls for Increased Funding for Children’s Hospital Graduate Medical Education

Premier sent a letter to House and Senate appropriators urging committee leaders to allocate $485 million in FY 2022 for the Children’s Hospital Graduate Medical Education (CHGME) program. Funding CHGME at this level will help close the per-trainee funding gap that currently exists among federal programs supporting physician training and bolster the workforce in areas that were already strained before the pandemic.
