Premier Calls on Congress to Extend "Hospital at Home" Waiver Beyond the Pandemic

Premier sent a letter urging House and Senate leaders to pass the Hospital Inpatient Services Modernization Act (S. 3792 / H.R. 7053). Introduced by Sens. Tom Carper (D-DE) and Tim Scott (R-SC) and Reps. Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) and Brad Wenstrup (R-OH), the bipartisan bill would extend for two years from the end of the COVID-19 public health emergency the CMS Acute Hospital Care at Home waiver program that has allowed Premier members and other hospitals to provide certain acute care services to patients from the comfort and safety of their homes.

The Hospital Inpatient Services Modernization Act is also supported by more than 110 other organizations.
