Premier Recommends Ways to Streamline Regulations and Reduce Provider Burden

In response to the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB)’s request for information (RFI), Premier submitted ideas on ways to reduce administrative burden for healthcare providers and streamline patient care. OMB’s RFI is in response to President Trump’s executive order that requires the rescission of 10 regulations for every new one issued.

In its comments, Premier identified existing regulations that create unnecessary administrative burden, increase healthcare costs and divert resources away from patient care without a demonstrated improvement in quality or outcomes.
