Premier submitted ideas on ways to reduce administrative burden for healthcare providers and streamline patient care in response to a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) request for information and White House Office of Management and Budget RFI. The RFIs are in response to President Trump’s executive order that requires the rescission of 10 regulations for every new one issued.
In its comments, Premier identified existing regulations that create unnecessary administrative burden, increase healthcare costs and divert resources away from patient care without a demonstrated improvement in quality or outcomes.
