CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 14, 2024 – Premier, Inc. (NASDAQ: PINC), a leading technology-enabled healthcare improvement company, was named, for the second year in a row, one of the Best Companies to Work For in 2024-2025 by U.S. News & World Report, earning highest marks for quality of employee pay, work/life balance and organizational stability.
“At Premier, our strength is in our people, who are core to the success and growth of our business,” said Michael J. Alkire, President and CEO, Premier. “We’re honored to be recognized by U.S. News & World Report for our unwavering dedication to our People First culture, mission, vision and values that allow us to deliver a top-notch experience for our employees. Our employees have passion for the work they do to ensure our members, caregivers and providers are able to make a meaningful impact on patients and in communities across the nation.”
U.S. News expanded its 2024-2025 ratings to include 549 companies across 29 lists. The ratings include the overall Best Companies list, which highlights the top 300 companies overall, 24 industry-specific lists and four regional lists.
Guided by a panel of experts, U.S. News & World Report editors conducted an in-depth, multi-source analysis of the Russell 3000 companies on six factors that are important to employee wellbeing: quality of pay and benefits; work/life balance and flexibility; job and company stability; physical and psychological comfort; belongingness and esteem; and career opportunities and professional development. This year, the methodology moved to group companies by Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB) standards, with support based on U.S. News’ editorial judgment. The move provides a deeper understanding of the nature of a company’s business and main source of revenue.
To calculate the U.S. News Best Companies to Work For list, U.S. News only considered companies that were a part of the Russell 3000 index as of June 2023 and had more than 75 Glassdoor reviews written between 2020-2023. Only the top 25 percent of companies in each region and industry were selected in their respective lists. For more information, visit Best Places to Work For.
