2025
Premier has been recognized for two consecutive years as one of America’s Best Management Consulting Firms by Forbes. The list is based on surveys, including a peer-to-peer survey open to partners and executives at management consulting firms; and a survey of clients who had worked with management consulting firms in the past four years. Both groups evaluated consulting firms within their areas of knowledge across 16 different industries and 16 different functional areas.
For 16 years in row, Premier has been recognized for continuing to “understand the importance of leading, making hard but values-based decisions and its overall commitment to integrity” by Ethisphere®, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices.

Premier was recognized as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces by Newsweek in 2024. To develop the list, throughout 2022 and 2023, more than 250,000 U.S. employees were interviewed for the ranking, resulting in more than 1.5 million company reviews spanning 78 individual sectors. The survey covered topics like compensation and benefits, training and career progression, work-life balance and company culture. Premier was recognized as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Mental Wellbeing by Newsweek in 2024. The ranking was based on an assessment of public data, feedback from HR executives at companies with more than 1,000 employees and an anonymized panel of HR professionals to identify employee-satisfaction drivers, and large-scale confidential online surveys of more than 250,000 employees working for U.S. companies. A subsequent research phase conducted with business data specialist PrivCo examined seven KPIs related to mental well-being, including a range of corporate mental health programs and social media ratings of work-life balance. The 2023 Supply Chain Resiliency Guide served as a high-impact, high-value piece of “anchor content” focused on industry challenges and recommended solutions. The marketing team designed campaign activities to support awareness and engagement goals for the Guide. The team was recognized with a Gold Stevie for this campaign. Angela Lanning, Premier’s Chief Operating Officer, Healthcare Informatics and Technology Services, was selected as an honoree in Charlotte Business Journal’s Women in Business Awards program. Among 25 honorees this year, Angela was chosen following an editorial review of her career accomplishments and community involvement.
2022
Premier Applied Sciences (PAS) and AstraZeneca, along with their partner Clinithink, were recognized as the BWB Awards winner for innovative use of technology-enabled healthcare solutions in the Digital Medicine category. The BWB Awards highlight biology breakthroughs, digital medicine innovation, as well as stand-out startups, accelerators and world-class research and development incubator programs in the life sciences community.

Newsweek looked at publicly traded U.S. corporations in 22 industries with $500 million or more in annual revenues and then surveyed 50,000 U.S. residents. Respondents were asked about companies they knew well and were, asked among other things, if they believed individual companies treated their customers fairly, treated their employees fairly and would be good long-term investments. The result is a list of 400 companies Americans trust the most, ranked by industry.
The CEO Forum Group selected Mike Alkire and Premier, Inc. for the Transformative CEO Award in Healthcare in the category of Healthcare Technology. LinkedIn Top Companies: City Edition takes a look at the best companies to build a career in 10 growing U.S. markets, including: Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dallas, Minneapolis and Seattle. To compile the list, LinkedIn looked at unique data specifically in the Charlotte metropolitan area, measuring seven pillars that have been shown to lead to career progression: ability to advance, skills growth, company stability, external opportunity, company affinity and educational background. The Golden Peacock Global Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance was instituted to encourage initiatives in Corporate Governance globally among developed and developing economies covering public undertakings, private undertakings (manufacturing sector/service sector/finance sector) and government/municipal departments.
