Premier submitted comments in response to draft legislation that Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA), the Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee, has put forward aimed at advancing care coordination for patients who are dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid (or dual eligible beneficiaries).

Premier also supports draft provisions which would require the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to conduct a review of the hospital star ratings program to ensure that the program accurately evaluates hospital performance and provides meaningful metrics for the patient community and hospital stakeholders.
